Join us for a special celebration of Chinese New Year with an inspiring Tai Chi weekend featuring Master Simon Watson of the Longfei Taijiquan Association of Great Britain. Taking place on 21st and 22nd February 2026 at South Dorset Tai Chi, this event promises something for everyone – whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just starting out.
Master Simon Watson is the chairman of Longfei Taijiquan Association & President of the English Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Association.
On Saturday, Master Simon Watson will lead a workshop on the 16-step Yang style form, suitable for all experience levels. Whether you’re looking to build a solid foundation, expand your repertoire, or simply enjoy practising in a welcoming group, this session offers something for everyone.
Saturday (10:00 – 12:30 & 13:30 - 16:00): Take part in guided practice and instruction with Master Simon, designed to help both beginners and advanced students develop their Tai Chi skills in a supportive atmosphere.
Cost for Saturday:
SDTC Members – £45 for the whole day, or £22.50 for half a day
Non-members – £60 for the whole day, or £30 for half a day
Please remember to bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided for all attendees.
Sunday (10:00 – 12:30): The Sunday morning will feature a series of short Qigong and Tai Chi sessions delivered by both local practitioners and Master Simon. Highlights include Shibashi Qigong Set 1 and Massaging of the meridians. These gentle sessions are designed to refresh body and mind and are suitable for everyone, regardless of experience.
After the workshop, join us for a relaxed and sociable ‘bring your own’ lunch – the perfect chance to connect with fellow Tai Chi enthusiasts and make new friends in a friendly atmosphere. Cost for Sunday: We kindly request a £10 donation to our chosen charity, Weldmar Hospicecare.
